Meet Holly
Hi, I'm Holly Calvert.
I'm starting my Primary Education (5–11) with QTS degree at Edge Hill University in September 2026, with the goal of becoming a primary teacher.
I'm passionate about helping children become more confident in their learning and creating a friendly, supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their skills.
I have gained experience within a primary-school environment through work experience at my mum's primary school. I also have personal experience supporting my younger brother, who is autistic, which has helped me develop patience, understanding and an appreciation that every child learns differently.
I am Enhanced DBS checked and take safeguarding, wellbeing and creating a positive learning environment seriously.

My approach
Every child is different, so I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I aim to make lessons:
Focused on the individual child's needs and goals.
Creating an environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
Using a range of activities and explanations to make learning more enjoyable.
Helping children understand not just what the answer is, but why.
My aim is for pupils to leave each lesson feeling that they've made progress and are more confident about their learning.
